About Gary MuschlaGary received his B.A. in history and M.A.T. from Trenton State College and taught in the public school system in New Jersey for more than 25 years. While he spent many of those years in the classroom specializing in reading and language arts at the elementary level, he also taught mathematics for several years. He was named the Appleby School (Spotswood, New Jersey) Teacher of the Year in 1985 and 1999. In addition to teaching, he has written various resource books on reading and writing for teachers, and has co-authored several math resource books with his wife Judy. He has also written a young adult novel about the First Crusade. These days he writes full-time. About Judy MuschlaJudy received her B.A. in mathematics from Douglass College at Rutgers University and is certified to teach grades K-12. She taught mathematics in South River, New Jersey for over thirty years, at both the middle and high school levels. She has conducted mathematics workshops for teachers and parents, and has been a member of the state Standards Review Panel for the Mathematics Core Curriculum Content Standards in New Jersey. She was a recipient of the 1990-1991 Governor's Teacher Recognition Program Award in New Jersey, and was named the 2002 South River Public School District Teacher of the Year. New Books |
