On Tuesday November 27, 1095, Pope Urban II spoke to a vast crowd assembled on a field near the French city of Clermont and called upon Christians to liberate the Holy Land from the Muslim Turks. While scholars still debate Urban's motives, one thing is certain: Those who answered the call began the First Crusade and embarked upon one of the greatest undertakings in history, their lives being forever changed.

Crusaders

This is the story of Robert, a young man raised in a monastery who longs to be a knight, and Eleanor, the daughter of a noble French family, and their journey to the Holy Land as members of the First Crusade.
